Sheffield Wednesday chief executive David Bruce said the Championship club "can be a top 10 club again," a year on from Chansiri's ownership ending.
Sheffield Wednesday chief executive David Bruce said the club "can be a top 10 club again," LBC reported on 23 October 2026.
Bruce said: "This club was always a top 10 club in this country, and it can be a top 10 club again. This club is like a rocket ship."
He added: "This is about having a go, but doing it in the right way," and said the club needed to tell supporters "it's going to be bumpy, but it's going to be fun as hell."
Chansiri's ownership of Sheffield Wednesday ended on 24 October 2025, before American consortium Arise Capital Partners, led by David Storch, Michael Storch and Tom Costin, took control of the club in May 2026, LBC reported. The owners have invested around 11 million pounds in stadium and training ground improvements since taking charge.
