Brighton hit five without reply in one-sided Crystal Palace derby
Brighton scored three goals inside ten minutes and added two more as they beat local rivals Crystal Palace 5-0 at the Amex Stadium.
Brighton took an early lead through an own goal from Jaydee Canvot in the fourth minute, then added goals from Diego Gomez and Yasin Ayari inside the first ten minutes of Sunday's Premier League match. Gomez's effort came from fully 50 yards out.
Charalampos Kostoulas extended the lead just after half-time and Jack Hinshelwood completed the scoring in the 84th minute, with Fabian Hurzeler's side moving to 16 points from seven games.
Hurzeler said the win showed how far his team had come since a defeat to Palace a few months ago. Palace manager Pierre Sage took responsibility for the start, saying it was "completely not normal" to be three goals behind inside nine minutes.
